Working together
These terms apply to digital artwork commissioned from Xiiri. Please read them before submitting a request. Your accepted quote records the service, artwork, price, intended use, delivery estimate, and any agreed exceptions. A request is an enquiry; it does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a production slot.
Xiiri may decline a request that is outside her services, comfort level, availability, or artistic style. Please make sure her portfolio matches what you are looking for. You must have permission to provide and use any character designs, references, logos, or other material you submit.
Quotes and payment
Listed prices are starting prices unless a service explicitly offers a fixed price. Complexity, extra characters, backgrounds, add-ons, and usage rights may change the total. Xiiri will confirm the final price and currency before you pay. Any extra charge must be explained and accepted before the extra work begins.
Payment is due in full after the request is accepted and before drawing begins. Pay only through the agreed checkout or invoice. Payment plans, if offered, require a separate written agreement. A waitlist position is not a paid production slot.
References and the creative process
Send a clear description of your idea and the references that matter, including the character, expression, pose, colors, and intended use. Mention anything that must be included or avoided before Xiiri confirms the quote.
For commissions with progress updates, Xiiri will share work at the stages agreed for your service. Please collect your feedback into one clear message at each review stage. A new concept, extra character, or substantial scope change may require a new quote.
Revisions
Unless the service and accepted quote say otherwise, one consolidated round of changes is included at the first sketch or progress review. Further revision requests may cost extra; Xiiri will agree the price with you before making them.
Major changes to the pose, composition, outfit, or character design must be requested before rendering begins. Once rendering has started, major revisions are not included and may not be possible. Small final adjustments can be discussed after delivery. Corrections needed because Xiiri missed an agreed detail are not treated as paid scope changes.
Skeb, surprise, doodle, YCH, and other limited-revision services may have a different process. Any zero-revision or restricted-revision arrangement must be clearly stated in the service and accepted quote before payment.
Timing and deadlines
The usual working estimate is two weeks to one month from the date Xiiri starts your artwork, depending on its complexity. This estimate does not include time spent waiting in the queue or waiting for your feedback, references, or approvals. Your quote will confirm the expected schedule for your commission.
Tell Xiiri about a birthday, debut, event, or other fixed deadline before payment. A deadline is confirmed only when Xiiri accepts it in writing. Rush work is subject to availability, with any additional fee agreed beforehand.
If illness, technical problems, or another unexpected issue affects the schedule, Xiiri will let you know and discuss an updated estimate. If the work cannot be completed, the cancellation terms below apply.
Delivery
Commissions are delivered digitally. No physical product, shipping, editable source file, layered file, rigging, or animation is included unless your service and quote specifically list it. File formats, dimensions, and other deliverables are confirmed with the service.
Please check your files after delivery and save a backup. Let Xiiri know promptly if a file will not open, is missing, or does not match the agreed deliverables so the issue can be addressed.
Copyright and personal use
Xiiri keeps copyright in the artwork she creates unless a separate written agreement expressly transfers it. You keep the rights you already hold in your own characters and other original intellectual property. Buying an illustration does not transfer copyright in the illustration or ownership of third-party characters.
Base prices cover personal, noncommercial use unless the accepted quote expressly includes another license. Once fully paid, you may use your commissioned artwork for personal avatars, wallpapers, noncommercial posts, and prints for your own enjoyment. You may not sell those prints or redistribute the original digital files.
Please credit Xiiri or @xiiri96 when sharing the work publicly. Do not claim authorship, remove her signature or watermark, trace, recolor, or otherwise edit the artwork without her written permission.
Monetized and commercial use
Tell Xiiri before ordering if the artwork will support a monetized channel, streaming, content creation, advertising, a business, merchandise, or another revenue-generating use. These uses need an appropriate license confirmed in writing; personal-use pricing alone does not grant them.
A monetized-content license may cover the specific streaming, video, or creator-branding uses listed in your quote. A merchandising license may cover the specific products, quantities, or sales uses agreed there. One type of permission does not automatically include the other. Fees are quoted for the intended use, without a universal multiplier.
Any change in use, sublicensing, resale of the digital file, or transfer to another person requires Xiiri’s written agreement. A commercial license does not transfer copyright unless that transfer is separately agreed.
No AI or NFTs
Do not use Xiiri’s artwork, work-in-progress images, sketches, or delivered files to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI or machine-learning models, build datasets, or generate or modify images with AI tools. Do not mint, sell, or use the artwork as an NFT or other blockchain collectible. These restrictions also apply to commercially licensed work.
Portfolio and privacy
Xiiri may display the artwork and relevant progress images in her portfolio, commission samples, and social media to promote her work. Private messages, personal contact details, and private reference files are not permission for public disclosure.
If the artwork is confidential or must stay unreleased until a particular date, discuss this before the quote is accepted. Any confidentiality agreement, reveal date, or fee must be agreed in writing beforehand. Xiiri will respect the agreed arrangement.
Cancellation and refunds
Before payment: you may withdraw your request without a cancellation charge.
After payment but before drawing starts: if you cancel, the refund is 90% of the commission payment. Any further deduction for a payment provider’s nonrefundable fee must have been disclosed before payment and is made only where permitted by applicable law. Xiiri will explain the calculation before processing the refund.
After drawing starts: contact Xiiri to discuss cancellation. Any partial refund is based on the work not yet completed, with an explanation of the completed work and amount retained. The pre-start 90% refund rule does not apply after work has begun.
After completion: change-of-mind refunds are not offered for a completed commission that matches the agreed scope. This does not remove your right to report missing files, a material error, or another issue that must be remedied under applicable law.
If Xiiri cannot complete your commission for personal, health, scheduling, or technical reasons, she will offer a full refund for the undelivered commission. You may instead agree in writing to accept usable partial work and a proportionate refund. Unfinished or refunded artwork may not be used unless permission is expressly agreed.
Refunds are returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing time depends on the payment provider. These terms do not waive mandatory consumer rights or the protections available through your payment provider.
Communication and changes to these terms
Use your commission’s message thread, the agreed DM channel, or the email used for your order for questions and updates. Keep communication respectful, and let Xiiri know if you need more time to reply. Delayed feedback may move the delivery estimate; silence alone does not automatically forfeit your payment.
If either party needs to end the working relationship, outstanding work and money will be handled under the cancellation terms above. Please contact Xiiri about a concern so there is a chance to resolve it.
The version accepted with your order remains the basis of that commission. Later website updates do not change an existing agreement unless you and Xiiri both agree in writing. Specific service terms or exceptions apply only when clearly disclosed and accepted before payment.
